Games You Can Play with Pizza
A pizza party is perfect any time of year and for any single occasion, whether it’s a birthday, graduation, or just because you feel like having friends and family over for some fun. If you’re getting ready to throw a pizza party, you may be seeking out some entertainment. If you’re looking to do something more than just watching a movie at your next pizza party, here are a few games and activities that can keep everyone entertained.
Game Time!
Along with regular board games, try to find some that are pizza-related like the spin a slice pizza game or pizza dicecapades.
Design Your Own Apron
This is a great activity for both kids and adults. Even if you’re opting to order from Hungry Howie’s instead of making your own pizza, apron design is a fun way to keep guests entertained while you wait for your pizza. Find some inexpensive plain aprons; buy fabric paint, stencils, markers, and glitter (if you’re up for the challenge of cleaning up excess glitter for weeks after the festivities).
Make Mini Dessert Pizzas
If you plan on providing the main course, have guests whip up dessert. Look up some recipes for dessert pizzas featuring chocolate, fruits, and other sweets. Choose recipes that don’t require baking for easy and quick desserts that can be enjoyed after lunch or dinner.
Pizza Boxes Assembly Race
Another great party game that would be just as fun for kids as it would be for adults: purchase empty mini pizza boxes or see if your favorite pizza place will let you have a few free boxes. Leave the boxes unassembled and have a race to see who can assemble the boxes the fastest. Give out small prizes to up the ante.
Pizza Box Puzzle
Take the top of your favorite pizza box and cut it into several small to medium sized pieces. Mix the pieces up and have guests assemble the box top. If you’re feeling competitive, cut the box up into smaller pieces and have a race to see who can complete the puzzle the fastest.
Host a Painting Party
Painting may not exactly be considered a game, but it’s a fun way to entertain. Host a painting party where guests will be led by an instructor on creating a masterpiece they can hang in their own home. “Paint and Sip” parties and studios have grown in popularity, so why not host it from the comfort of your own home where you can provide delicious pizza to munch on?
Pin the Pepperoni on the Pizza
A tastier variation of pin the tail on the donkey. Hang a picture of pizza on the wall. Give your guests a few pepperoni slices, blindfold them, and spin them around a couple of times and let them find their way to the pizza. The one with the most pepperoni slices within the pizza pie wins!
Pizza Hole
You already ate all your pizza, and at Hungry Howie’s® we are strong advocates for recycling. So, grab a knife and securely cut a hole in the top of your pizza box. It’s corn hole game time! Please don’t’ use pizza slices as bean bags. Find an actual bean bag to challenge your friends to an epic corn hole battle.

The Ultimate Pizza Tower
See if you can get everyone to bring an empty pizza box. Set up a table for you and your friends to go head to head. Start stacking pizza boxes to see how high you can go without breaking the tower. Whoever gets the most pizza boxes stacked is the ultimate champion, and should not pay for the pizza.
The Pizza Delivery Championship
Alright, before you go out delivering pizza to strangers, here’s how this works. Give your friends a pizza box each, and see if they can get them from point A to point B balancing it on their head. The winner gets to keep one pizza box, the loser has to attempt balancing two pizza boxes. Keep adding boxes as people lose and see who can handle the most pizza boxes.
Pizza Charades
Once your charades teams are set up. Write down pizza orders on slips of paper. You can choose from pizzas that match your personality or weird pizza flavors to make it a little bit more difficult on your friends. See what team knows their pizza facts and takes the title of the ultimate charades champion. The losing team must pay for the pizzas - just an idea.
Pizza Eating Competition
If you and your friends consider each other professional pizza eaters, have a pizza competition challenge to see who gets crowned as the ultimate pizza eater. Don’t worry, here are some tips on how to win a pizza eating competition so you can bring home the pizza trophy.
Pizza Twister
Get yourself a Twister carpet. Categorize the colors to go with pizza toppings and order a pizza with each topping, for example:
- Red = Pepperoni
- Yellow = Onion
- Blue = Mushrooms
- Green = Peppers
Instead of playing by the colors, play Twister by the toppings. Whoever wins gets to choose the pizza topping of their preference. And choose the pizza toppings for everyone else.
Truth or Pizza
We’re sure you’ve played truth or dare before, most likely you know the rules by now. However, this game is more delicious, and we won’t blame you if you choose pizza all the time. But, it won’t hurt to tell the truth every once in a while. Like, what’s your favorite Hungry Howie’s® Flavored Crust® Pizza?
If you’re ready to throw your next pizza party, these are just a few ways to have fun with friends and family.
